Sensory Sphere
Enrichment programme centred around unique age appropriate multi-sensory stories.
Our aims:
Increase resident engagement by creating novel experiences with familiar themes.
Provide good value to homes, by supporting staff with resources and providing visible activities for promotion.How we do this:
1) Digital download. £45pm A monthly story with both novel and familiar elements. Several versions of the story to engage all residents, including a 1:1 Sensory Sound Story. Movement, social and art activities - guided meditation and a movement to music routine. Audio MP3 files for music and soundscapes.2) Sensory Story Box. £180pm. Physical resources posted to you for the month. Plus access to the Digital monthly story. Weekly virtual drop in advisory sessions for staff.
Sensory Story Box
The Sensory Story Box resources will includ:
- Printed materials
- Consumables like hot chocolate, massage oil, aromatherapy oils, incense.
- Story specific items, plastic frogs, oyster shells, a rainbow poi and large pieces of coloured fabric.
- An MP3 player with audio files pre loaded.
